M66C18 - High Lumen Output HID (Type M)
1.5mm Arc Gap High Lumen Lamp is aimed more towards
the professional fibre optics business, where getting the maximum quantity of
light into the fibres is of paramount importance. It's based on a pure mercury
discharge operating at ultra-high pressure, which allows its arc to be reduced
to the tiniest dimensions. It succeeeds in concentrating much more light into
the centre of the beam, and here it really scores highly on projecting a large
percentage of its light into optical fibres. However, its colour rendering index
drops down into the 30s, so it's not really a lamp for general lighting work.
Despite this, when the application is simply for direct viewing of fibre tails,
for instance in a starlight ceiling or for outlining architectural detal, its
ultra bright crisp white beam achieves stunning effects

| 2. Working distance |
 |
|
* Working Distance (WD) is defined as the distance from surface of the reflector,
where the light comes out, to the fiber source. Working Distance is set to 40mm
which is the most ideal distance in order to get a maximum lumen output at the
other end of the fiber souce.
